Alpaca profile: Moonwood's Our Demetria

Demi is super special to us as she was our first cria. We were not expecting her until February 2008, but due an ultrasound error, her arrival date was miscalculated and she surprised us by coming into the world completely unannounced in October 2007. Fall is my favourite season of the year and I was thrilled to be able to name her after Demeter, the Greek goddess of the harvest.

Her dam is MAR Penelope Jack (from the Peruvian King bloodline) and her sire is MR Fandango Star (Reserve Color Champion from the Matador bloodline). We are retaining Demi for our foundation herd and are looking forward to breeding her for the first time in 2009.
