Back at MAPACA by popular demand for the third year!

We are bringing free mini fiber arts workshops to the 2015 MAPACA Jubilee to enable those of you who want to work with your own fiber to get started. It's not difficult, as we're going to show you in small and easy steps!

Some workshops are old favourites from previous shows, some are fresh new additions to cater to those who are already past the beginner stage, or who are looking to tuck a new skill under their belt.

These are short 30-60 minute (approximately) hands on workshops that are easy to fit in between classes in the show ring. There are spinning techniques as well as small, easy projects that you can do at home, or that you can teach your clients and open farm day attendees. All tools and materials are provided (except for wheel spinning classes, read below).

All you need to do is get your name on the registration sheet at the booth and turn up at the time your workshop commences.

And best of all? They are completely FREE thanks to your Association!

We do strongly suggest that you sign up ahead of time if you want a guaranteed spot in any of the workshops. On Thursday during check-in we will have sign up sheets for all workshops laid out on a table at the Moonwood Farm Fiber Studio booth, just come and write your name on anything you'd like to do.

Wheel spinners, check the requirements of the workshop you are interested in, some of them need you to bring things to the workshop - if so, they are clearly listed.

See you soon for what is, as always, going to be a fantastic Jubilee!

Proudly brought to you by:

MAPACA - mid-atlantic alpaca association

The store and spinners/project circle will still be open, and Roo will be available for chatting, questions and consultation until the auction preview starts at 2:00pm.

NEWLY ADDED: we get so many enquiries about how to knit with silk hankies (and other fibers including silk laps, carded batts, and roving!) that we'll be 'unofficially' demonstrating how to do this in the circle. Join us for a cup of coffee and some laid back, relaxing fun.
